Der englische Begriff bezeichnet seit dem [[wiki:reisegenerationen#Ab dem 12. Jahrhundert|13. Jahrhundert]] bejagte [[wiki:Tiere|Tiere]], weil man die Jagd als sportliche Disziplin auffasste, wo der Freizeit-Jäger als //sportsman// bezeichnet wird, welcher insbesondere in Afrika zum Topos wurde als (Great) [[wiki:White Hunter|White Hunter]].

  * jagdbare Wildtiere im Unterschied zu Schlachtvieh, //cattle//
  * //game parks// Wildreservats, Tierparks mit park [[wiki:ranger|rangern]] 
  * //game drive//, die Pirschfahrt während der [[wiki:safari|Safari]].
  * //game walk//, den Pirschgang
  * //game meat//
    * im Unterschied zu [[wiki:bushmeat|bushmeat]], der Jagdbeute von Menschen, die im [[wiki:bush|bush]] leben;
    * als Jagdbeute im Unterschied zu '//kill//', der von Raubtieren gerissenen Beute.
